Quick update

Things have been kinda crazy here.

Last week we started taking our official classes. They are tons of fun. I have grammar, speaking, phonetics, singing class (yes, we sing Russian songs!!), and two culture classes. I am also enrolled in a history of the Russian military. It is with all the other west point and USAFA cadets. So far we've seen some cool tank videos and talked about our interests, etc.

Outside class, I bought some American movies in Russian...it's too bad that my computer won't play them. There is an error..it says that I don't have a DVD discoder or something...if you have any idea what to do, let me know! Thankfully, I can use my roommate's computer. I've seen the count of Monte Cristo, pearl harbor and MULAN!

I don't think I've mentioned this before, but Russian women always seem to wear high heals, most are stilettos! They always seem to dress up, which I was excepting, but some girls wear mini-skirts, or mid-drift type shirts. That makes me crazy, because I'm in my jeans, long johns, and pea coat, and I'm still cold! I guess they are just used to it!

This weekend we are going to Volgograd! I'm really excited about that! We get to see a museum about the battle and then go to the memorial and stuff! It should be fun! We are taking an overnight bus...because it is a 10 hour bus drive, so that is going to be interesting trying to sleep!

I think I'm going to be teaching English at a Russian school. I am meeting the director at the school tonight! So, we'll see how that goes! I have to run, so I have time to work out and eat before I have to meet him! I hope that all is well with y'all!

More to come.
